Dear international colleagues,

we also received an order of 300.000bottles of our German Cranberry-Semi Sparkling Wine by Tianjin Dijiete International Trading. Our contact Li Jinyin didn't ask for our product, the only think they wanted to have, were packaging and prices FOB. After sending them our prices they send us an order of the quantity mentioned before. After asking them for import licences for our product, the exact address, the port to be shipped, the only thing we received where the invitation to come to China, to handle out the contract once again and to sign it.
Strange thing! Who is going to buy such a huge quantity without even knowing anything about the product and the way how to import it?

I translate for a company in Istanbul producing traditional Turkish folk instruments. Tianjin Dijiete contacted us in the same way, wanted a price list, then turned right around and sent an order for 8000 instruments (why a company in China would want 8000 Turkish folk instruments had me suspicious already) without asking any information about them. Then came the invitation to come to China and sign the contract face to face. I wrote to them saying "Yes, we can come to China, but we will need to know a bit more about your company; website, promotional materials, references etc."  No answer as yet. They haven't requested the expensive gift just yet, but if they do, the cats leave lots of things in our garden and I'd gladly send them a kilo or two as a token of our appreciation!

Dear all, we got contacted today as well.
In any case, we are used to work with upfront payment, let’s see how these guys react.
Yesterday, I`ve got anther weird contact (phone call) form Japan. They have introduced them self’s as a trading agency making business in the USA. Minimum investment 10000 Dollars. When I was asking for a webpage or references, the answer was that their manager will call me for further details.

Watch out guys......as well for deals proposed in Nigeria and Lagos.
